A Few Words About Us
Welcome to Cheshire Karate Centres, one of the leading karate schools in Warrington since its founding in 1978.
As Martial Artists we pride ourselves on our ability to provide a safe and engaging environment to develop skill, talent, discipline and respect whilst ensuring the sessions are enjoyable. Each individual has their own unique way of learning, young children especially, which is why our teaching methods are adapted to suit the person and not the class. Great emphasis is placed on fitness and conditioning and many students, young and old alike, come along just to keep fit under the expert guidance of our coaches. For those with a busy lifestyle private and small group tuition is available every day.
Cheshire Martial Arts Centre has established itself as one of the countries best venues to practice the style of Shukokai Shitoryu Karate and the club is a member of the SSKA.
Chief Instructor Paul Graham (9th Dan) has built a solid reputation for producing top class students, who compete and win at National, European, World and Commonwealth Level. Paul has been involved in Karate for over 46 years and is a Master in the art of Shukokai and Shitoryu Karate, learning from the Great Master Shigeru Kimura, who was one of the founding members of the style. Paul had the honour of passing his 1st Dan Black Belt under him. Cheshire Karate Centres has professional, friendly, DBS checked Instructors who have been practicing karate for a large portion of their lives and have been taught directly by Paul. Students may simply wish to follow the traditional syllabus comprising of gradings to monitor progress from beginner (White Belt) through to the coveted Black Belt or the Sport Karate Programme which caters for those that wish to compete in tournaments and competitions at domestic, national and international level
